Caving and mine exploration are activities with a risk of personal injury or death. Participants in such activities should be aware and accept these risks and be responsible for their own actions and involvement. Through its association with the BCA Dudley Caving Club recognises that correct training is one way of minimising such risks and provides opportunities for training.

Dudley Caving Club

(Formerly Dudley Cave Rescue Team)

This Midlands based caving club meets every Thursday evening at the Old Ruiton Windmill, Vale Street, Upper Gornal, Dudley, DY3 3XF from around 8.00pm. Due to corona-virus restrictions we are currently not holding Thursday evening meetings.

If you are a caver and would like to join us, or you’ve never been caving but think you would like to try caving as a sport, then just turn up or contact Keith Edwards for more information.

The windmill is well equipped for all aspects of caver training.

Where could caving take you?

welcomes both experienced and novice cavers.

Not sure if caving is for you? Watch the video and decide if you want to join us.

New to Caving?

Through the National Lottery "Awards for All" scheme we have purchased personal caving gear for novices - helmets, lamps, fleece under-suits, PVC over-suits, knee-pads and belts which means that we are fully equipped to give anyone a taster trip underground.
